Celebrating...dazzling desserts for New Year's Eve

I know...I know...I keep saying that this will NOT become a foodie blog---yet all I do is post about food. Ha ha...today is no different. Well...actually it is a little different. Instead of posting one food thing, I'm posting TWO...ha ha ha!!

Earlier this week, I watched Oprah and she had the sisters from Georgetown Cupcakes on. They showed the absolute cutest dessert perfect for a birthday, an anniversary or...hmmm---NEW YEAR'S EVE!! It's Strawberry Champagne Sparkle Cupcakes. Here's a link to the recipe and here's a link to the video. Aren't these FAB?!!

The second thing that I want to share is a link to Sugar Swings blog for Neopolitan Cupcakes. These seem easy enough, but I think the presentation is adorable. Here's the link to the instructions.

Fancy and sweet!! Hope however you plan to celebrate out with the old and in with the new, that you have a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous 2011!!

Happy New Year!!

Luv Ya!!

Celebrating...the 12 Days of Christmas---with cake!

As if there is anyone left in the world who doesn't know---I LOVE cake! As I was checking out one of my fav blogs, Serious Eats, I found a very nice way to celebrate the 12 days of Christmas. It's a posting by Cakespy and it's for a 12 layer Christmas cake. That's right...I said TWELVE LAYERS!!!

Here's a pix of the cake...looks very festive and yummy, right?
Here's the link to the post.

With only 5 days until Christmas, you'd better get started making this show piece!!

Luv ya!!

Celebrating...with something CUTE!

tsk...tsk...tsk! I have let the holidays get in my way of checking in here to celebrate. But given the fact that this is December, usually considered the busiest month of celebrations, I'm sure that you don't have to look far for things and ways to celebrate. I pray that you are all having a wonderful Christmas season and that you are looking forward to all of the get togethers that this time of year brings.

Hmmm...going to get togethers, hosting get togethers---I've just come across a really cute idea that could be used as a hostess gift or as a favor for events that you are hosting. It comes from one blog who got them from another blog and maybe even another. So I am doing my blogging part and passing it on too! It seems that the original posting came from Laurie Furnell's blog. On her blog she shows different variations and she offers the template for downloading so that you can make your own. So make sure you check it out!!

These pix are from Connie's Creative Corner's blog by way of Splitcoast Stampers and Kerry's Paper Crafting blog, respectively. Aren't these CUTE?!!

So grab some Hershey bars, sit down and make some snowmen and be ready with a cute basket for a hostess gift or as a giveaway when guests leave your party. Tis the season to celebrate!

Hope you are enjoying your pre-holiday preparations as much as I am!

Luv Ya!
